The M&S DMC3-4 Retrofit Master Station must use individual wire that runs from the master to each intercom speaker.  Replacing the master requires all other components to be replaced except wire and M&S music and door speakers with round bell buttons. (The exceptions are M&S MC302 and MC602 systems w/o CD or cassette players.  Only the master and update frame have to be purchased when replacing these models.)

The 3-wire intercom system replacement allows 13 remote stations and 3 door speakers and the 4-wire intercom system replacement allows 15 remote stations and 3 door speakers. DMC3-4 features include:

  • 2 music source inputs.
  • A full clock radio that supports waking up or falling asleep to music.
  • Monitoring capabilities for infants and elderly.
  • Intercom only and optional door release.
  • Built-in AM/FM radio tuner with 8 FM and 8 AM presets.
  • Optional door chime module either 3 note or 8 note.
  • Ability to control music source and radio station from intercom stations.
  • Programmable monitor override.
  • Automatic on/off

Optional DMCMP3 CD and MP3 player and DMCBT Blue Tooth and MP3 Player are available for purchase separately. An external docking station option is also available if the user needs a connection for a MP3 player or smart phone.

The DMC3-4 is designed to be used with the DMC1H housing and DMCFM frame (master only) or the DMC1HC combo housing and either the DMCFC frame or DMC1F frame (master and CD/MP3 or Bluetooth/MP3 player).  Depending on height of existing hole the user has a choice of frame when the optional CD/MP3 or Bluetooth player is installed.
