The Vacu-Maid S1660 Central Vacuum Unit is manufactured in the USA. It is constructed of rolled galvannealed steel making it tough and durable. It also has a special powder coating which resists corrosion for the life of the vac unit.
The S1660 is a cyclonic unit which means that bags and/or filters are not necessary. When the unit is on, the cyclone effect created in the dirt can allows the larger heavier dirt and debris to be collected in the dirt can while the smaller dust particles are carried out in the exhaust much like a dryer vent. Suction power at the hose is more consistent without the restriction of dirty filters. A patented AirChannel™ allows for an optional disposable can liner to be used making emptying the 27 Qt. capacity dirt receptacle virtually mess free.
The S1600 is a split canister design and has a 2-stage 6.6” tangential bypass motor. The motor can be hung away from the living area while hanging the dirt canister in an easily accessible location which helps to keep the noise level down. At 60 db this unit is one of the quieter units on the market. It is ideal for homes up to 9,500 sq. ft. and carries a 10 year warranty.
