The NuTone VX1000 central vacuum power unit is no longer available. Nutone no longer offers a comparable 240 volt unit. Our suggested replacement unit is the VacuMaid SR820.
The Nutone VX1000 Bagged Power Unit has a unique oval shape design that allows the unit to fit closely against the wall, maximizing available space. Dual vacuum air intakes, metal mounting bracket and 6 foot long power cord make installation easy and convenient. A utility valve is included. The unit is constructed of corrosive resistant fire retardant Thermoplastic.
The VX1000 Bagged central vac unit has indicator lights that tell when the replaceable filter bag is full and needs to be changed and the easy access door makes getting to the bags a snap. The filter bags have self-closing collars to keep the dust and debris inside the bag where it belongs and provide cleaner indoor air quality. With an eight gallon capacity, the filter bags typically only need changing every six months. The oversize pail latches flip open so that you can quickly remove the pail for maintenance.
This 240 volt unit is designed for homes up to 12,000 sq. ft. Two 2 stage Universal Bypass motors deliver 1040 Air Watts of cleaning power. An internal sound suppression system significantly reduces the noise level making it the quietest power unit in its class.8 year warranty.
