The NuTone CT150B deluxe floor/rug tool can be used for cleaning smooth floors as well as carpet and rugs with a short nap. This attachment is suitable for all types of smooth floors including hardwood. There are three rubber wheels that help move the tool smoothly over all surfaces with ease. There is a squeegee in the center of the nozzle and two felt strips to trap the debris and allow the air flow of the vacuum to remove it from the surface.
Suitable hard surfaces and rugs and carpets with short nap that require light cleaning are ideal applications for this tool when only a single attachment is desired. Often, though, better cleaning can be achieved by using separate tools such as a powerhead for carpet and a separate floor brush for smooth surfaces.
