The Broan S99010172 Filter Bag has been discontinued.  There are no substitutes.

The S99010172 is a replacement filter bag for the following central vacuum units:

  • Broan CV20 and CV30
  • Nutone CV554 and CV556

This filter bag replaces the Nutone part S0647B000, which is no longer available.

When the vacuum unit is turned off, the S99010172 filter has a sand bag in the bottom that causes the filter to drop down which helps the debris to fall off and into the dirt can.  The pores in the filter will be clogged with fine dirt, hindering air flow and cleaning, after a number of years.  Replacement of the filter will solve this problem.
