Shop for suction relief valves that protect the central vacuum system when adequate air cannot pass through the motor. This can happen for two reasons - a severe clog and system running without an inlet in use. When one of these events occurs, the suction relief valve opens automatically, allowing the motor to breathe. For the valve to protect the entire system, it must be installed close to the power unit on the intake side.
