Shop for central vacuum inlet valves.  These mount to a rough-in bracket that is behind the sheetrock, usually fastened to a stud.  The central vacuum hose is inserted into the inlet valve.  All valves have a low voltage connection that allows the power unit to be turned when when either a switch on the vacuum hose is turned on or the hose is inserted into the inlet.  Some inlets also have a 120 volt connection that provides power to an electric powerhead.

Most inlet valves are universal, meaning that they fit into a standard mounting bracket.  We carry a variety of these styles, as well as propriety inlets supplied by Nutone, Vacu-Maid and Vacuflo.
