What is a hose sock?

If you are new to the Central Vacuum world you might be asking, what is a hose sock? A hose sock is a fabric protector for your central vacuum hose. The hose cover is basically a sock that provides a soft barrier between the central vacuum hose and the objects being cleaned.  It provides protection to your molding, walls, floors, and furniture which could be scratched or scuffed when the hose is pulled from room to room.  The cover is made from a soft durable fabric and is compatible with all central vacuum hoses. 

2 types of hose socks are available, the Padded or Quilted Sock, and the Knit Sock. Below are what we think are a few pros and cons of each.
